A little about ourselves
We are a locally owned "take and bake" shop nestled in the historic West Side of Cookeville. We provide a healthy and unique alternative to eating out or eating in. The dishes we offer are prepared fresh every day and in a limited amount to ensure our customers have the best experience possible. We use local product when available and the highest quality ingredients in all our food. We offer a wide range of culinary creations ranging from southern comfort food, Asian, French, Island favorites, Italian and Mediterranean. Our goal is to provide an outstanding meal at a great value that is convenient for the family or individual with todays' hectic schedules.
As of May 23rd, 2016, ownership of the Blue Rooster Canteen has changed. Meg Heinrich, who started and ran the company for roughly three years, sold to native Cookevillian and Chef Chad Combs. The concept and name will stay the same. Due to Meg's future plans for a cookbook, original recipes are being held proprietary. The process of developing and test new creations have been under way and, in large, been a great success.
